Eternal Spirit in the World
We have lost a great leader
In the death of Ruth Bader Ginsburg
Glorified, as she should be,
In classrooms
In the dormitories of millions
Of growing women
Beloved by a nation of every gender and race
That was trembling with fears
That the Law might deny them
Their Sacred Rights
She gave us an emblem, a banner, a voice
We needed and could not find
Until her.
Justice Ginsburg offered
Her intelligence and self-respect,
Her gentle but firm wisdom
To a nation that had run short
Of it.
She imbued in us
A new exemplar of confidence,
Of dignity, of scholarship
And fairness for everyone.
Grant that her banner of
Resolve and Righteousness,
Her Dignity and Faith in the Truth
Will grow even in her death
As the rose rises from the gift
Of fertile Soil.

Great post Mary Ann.
Thank you, Michael.

Thank you, Dear One.
She was an inspirational woman
Mary, Yes she was. I consider her a saint. There is a place in heaven for her, surely. Mary Ann

Thank you all for your comments. It is good to salute the honorable especially in these troubled times.
Thanks for your words Mary Ann. They should put your name on the front and all pages so when readers know it is you and your name gets more we’ll known.
Thank you, Jacqueline. So good of you
